Summer Academy 2022

Our International La Salle Summer Academy 2022 was held from June 15 to 30 for our Lasallian community. We had the participation of 6 international visiting faculty who taught courses for our Lasallian and international students:

  • Determining the Social Impacts of Climate Change on Marginalized Groups – Dr. Amanda Crump from University of California Davis, United States
  • The digital transformation in fintech and economy - Dr. Darko Vukovic, Higher School of Economics University, Russia
  •  Place, Identity, and Language Learning – Dr. Daniel Harper, Christian Brothers University, United States
  • How Startups use Online Marketing to Grow – Dr. Andreas Schoser, TH Kol University of Applied Sciences, Germany
  • S.O.S. Habitat: strategies for urban sustainability – Dr. Lorenzo Massimiano, Universita G. D'Annuzio Chieti & Pescara, Italy

Resilient Cities: Re-thinking Urban Transformation for Climate Emergency in a Circular Economy Framework – Dr. Jordi Morató, Polytechnic University of Catluña. This last course was taught exclusively for teachers from the different academic units of the university, framed in an institutional strategy of training their teams on issues related to environmental sustainability and circular economy.

The international visiting faculty members had the possibility of going several cultural visits that allowed them to have a holistic immersion of our Colombian culture.
