COVID-19 has brought different challenges that have modified the forms how we behave and interact with others, in that sense, the International and Interinstitutional Relations Department has develop an internationalization at home strategy that brings students and the Lasallian community closer to the international cooperation opportunities offered by different institutions.
In that sense, “Jueves con la DRII” stands as a strategic relations strategy that brings the university closer to embassies, international agencies, governmental bodies, among others. In addition, the strategy promotes relevant information about scholarships, studies abroad programs, language courses, and much more. This initiative has brought more than 600 students and professors closer to relevant stakeholders
For the first version, we had the support of: Campus France, the British Embassy to Colombia, Beglo: Global Scholarships, the Embassy of Australia to Colombia, Embassy of Argentina to Colombia, Embassy of New Zealand to Colombia and the Embassy of Poland to Colombia.
For the next semester we will continue with a second version of the strategy, in which we will have scholarship promotion agencies such as the Fulbright Commission and the Carolina Foundation. We will also have representatives from Embassies and former international fellows, in order to continue bringing our community closer to the world, strengthening their intercultural and second language skills.
Thanks to the academic community for the support to this initiative!
